I would like to officially announce that I am taking a forced break from blogging. I would rather continue, but I can’t currently think. Something about my antsy 2 year olds combined with me feeling completely exhausted and without coherent thoughts. When I’m able, I’ll be back.
We’re still living it up with Grammy and having quite a lovely time. Drop me a line to let me know how you are! I can’t form my own thoughts but I can happily read yours!
I found out that the chick from My Name is Earl is also named Jaime. How’s that for a random thought to keep you going?
Good idea DC! We can post replies to Jaime and maybe fill the void of postings till she can group her thoughts again. Hang in there Jaime!
“Biscotti is basically doggie biscuits for people – hard, crunchy, promoting strident chewing.” Another random thought to chew on by Anita Renfro.
Here’s another tidbit:
I was recently informed that the “Four Corners” is not actually located at the exact place where the four states meet. This may mean that I need to re-visit Utah.
They are pouring concrete curbs outside my office, fun to watch how many footprints people put in the fresh concrete. Then the construction worker comes back to fix it and where he just left someone else steps in his last repair – kind of like taking card of little kids.
That story about concrete reminds me: Did anyone else hear that story about the girl someplace in New England who was so absorbed in texting on her cell phone that she stepped right past some orange construction cones and right into an open manhole? And then she had the cajones to actually sue the city. For the fact that she was oblivious.
The moral of the story? I guess we won’t know until the outcome of the lawsuit…
It is constantly reinforced to me that I live in a “hippy” area. This week I learned about the trash system, which has 3 different containers per house: trash, recycling, and compost. Normally I wouldn’t expect a compost container in a desert area.
Sometimes when Gus (our largish golden retriever) goes to work with Frank, he gets in the concrete too. The workmen are not amused, but I have to giggle when I hear about it hours later.
