Well, the bouncy chairs are no longer usable. I discovered this when Rissa threw herself out of hers a couple weeks ago and Zach kept trying to roll out of his! I didn’t even know that it was possible for her to get out of the bouncy chair and it was really scary! Being able to escape isn’t a hard and fast rule for retiring an item because Zach has wormed himself out of his carseat and jumped out of his Bumbo and we still need those! But alas, they are too big for the bouncy chairs, which is unfortunate because we only have one command center and the Bumbos only work if I can supervise them directly and they don’t want to escape them. What to do with the other baby when I need my hands free?
Goodbye, bouncy chairs. We used you from month 2 to month 7. That seems like a short time, but you were such a big help. I reserve the right to pull you out in an emergency, like during stories or just for a second while the babies are under close watch. But our close relationship is over. Have a nice life. We’ll return one of you to the Forbeses soon enough and someday you’ll be used again there and one of you will go on to help out Baby Henry when he/she arrives in Mari and Ryan’s home.
